Baulch Road Park Pavillion

The proposed comfort station project at Baulch Road Park for the Municipality of Port Hope Department of Park’s Recreation and Culture, our design teams ambition and goal for this great community on the shores of Lake Ontario was to develop a project that could be more than a utilitarian structure, serving a functional purpose. The Comfort Station-Pavilion was an opportunity for the newer community of the municipality to develop a sense of identity, culture and recreation. Through the integrated design process with committee and community members, our team has developed a dynamic, interesting GATEWAY to the new park that will aspire to engage residents and users of all ages, as they inhibit the new park at Baulch Road. The project through the intrinsic park design principles has developed a design that will not only serve the park, residents of the community and visitors of all ages, but the new comfort station-pavilion will seek to ENGAGE and ACTIVATE all participants and users as a place for physical, social, and communal well-being, enhancing this great community.
